The actress and model Meagan Yvonne Tandy was born in Fremont (California) and raised in the city of Fontana in the United States. In 2003 he finished his secondary education at Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga and attended Chaffey College later.

Biography: Aahoo Jahansouzshahi, whose Americanized name is Sarah Shahi is an American actress, model and former cheerleader of Iranian and Spanish descent. Shahi was named #90 on the Maxim magazine “Hot 100 of 2005″ list; she moved up to #66 in 2006.

Shahi started her career as a beauty queen during her teen years. She won the Miss Fort Worth USA pageant in 1997. Later on, she was a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders 1999-2000 squad. She appeared on the cover of their 2000 calendar.

While working as an extra on the set of Dr. T and the Women, she met director Robert Altman, who encouraged her to move to Hollywood. Sarah then packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles. Biography: Rebecca Romijn (pronounced “Ro-mane”) was born in Berkeley, California, to Jaap Romijn and Elizabeth Kuizenga, both of whom are of Dutch ancestry.

While studying music (voice) at the University of California, Santa Cruz, she became involved with modeling and eventually moved to Paris, France for more than two years. Among other jobs, Romijn modeled for the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated and for Victoria’s Secret. She also was the host of MTV’s House of Style from 1998 to 2000. Romijn is fluent in French and Portuguese.

In 2000′s X-Men, Romijn had her first major movie role as “Mystique”; she returned to the role in 2003′s sequel X2: X-Men United, and again for X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). Biography: Naomi Campbell was born in Streatham, South London. She is of mostly Afro-Jamaican heritage, though her father is also partially of Jamaican-Chinese descent. Campbell attended the London Academy for Performing Arts.

A graduate of the Italia Conti Academy stage school, Campbell’s first appearance to a wider public was in February 1978 when she was cast as a pupil to appear in a music video with Jamaican reggae superstar Bob Marley for his song Is This Love?.

On graduating from Italia Conti, her looks created her an income and she switched to become a fulltime model, creating a high profile career and creating two spin-off companies: NC Connect and a self-named line of perfumes.

Her charity work mainly focuses on the children and people of Africa, including working with Nelson Mandela, since 1997. In 2005 she helped to create and participate in ‘Fashion Relief’ for Hurricane Katrina victims, raising over a million dollars.

Aged 15 and while still a student of the Italia Conti Stage School, Campbell was spotted by Beth Boldt, former head of Synchro models agency, window-shopping in Covent Garden. In April 1986, she made the cover of Elle, when another model had to cancel the job. By August 1988, she had graced the cover of French Vogue as the publication’s first black cover girl and completed campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Francois Nars.

Her modeling career started as a catwalk model, but she was quickly picked up for various high profile advert campaigns for Lee Jeans and Olympus Corporation, which broke her into America. The highpoint of her career was in the early 90′s when she was part of the two major supermodeling powerhouses, the Big Six and the Trinity, (with Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington).

She has walked for many fashion designers, including Gianni Versace and Valentino. Campbell famously tumbled over on the catwalk at Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania fashion show in 1994. Campbell was the first black model to appear on the cover of Time magazine and French and British Vogue. She has also appeared on the covers of Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE magazine.

She posed nude for Playboy magazine and for a series of lesbian-erotic photos with Madonna in the latter’s book Sex.

Campbell has appeared in music videos for artists such as Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, Macy Gray, Prince, Usher and also Madonna’s music video, “Erotica”, with Ingrid Casares on 12 October 1992. She had previously appeared in George Michael’s music video, “Freedom ’90″, where she lip-synched to his song along with other models.

Biography: Linda Evangelista is a Canadian supermodel who was born in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Linda was born to Italian parents and was raised in a working class, traditional Catholic family . She is 5’9″ tall and her natural hair color is dark brown. She knew she wanted to become a model when she was 12 years old. She got into the modeling industry when she was discovered by a talent agent at the 1978 Miss Teen Niagara Contest. She later moved to New York City and signed with Elite Model Management there. She then moved to Paris, France to further her career. She has also appeared in music videos with George Michael.

Along with Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, Linda is regarded as one of the few, true supermodels that changed the face of fashion in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Evangelista is a part of the triumvirate of model friends that includes Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington. These three women were affectionately dubbed the “trinity” and are commonly credited as the ones responsible for sparking supermodel mania. The Trinity pushed for better wages for models and for better projects and subsequently Evangelista was called the founder of the supermodel “union.”

In the late-80s, she chopped off all her hair into a little-boy style haircut and was promptly cancelled from all the important runway shows that season. This was the first of her many, many dramatic hairstyle changes. Within months, she appeared on magazine covers everywhere and many women emulated the hairstyle.

Evangelista is known as The Chameleon, both for her frequent hair changes (style, length and color) and for the way she could transform in front of a camera. Biography: Kate Moss was born in Addiscombe, London Borough of Croydon, England. Kate attended Ridgeway Primary School, then Riddlesdowne High School but she was not noted for her academic success. According to Vermorel’s book “Addicted to Love: Kate Moss” she gained one C (in Science) and all the rest were Ds, Es, and Fs at GCSE level, however she did excel at sport. She was discovered at the age of 14 by Sarah Doukas (the founder of Storm Model Agency) in 1988, at JFK Airport in New York City, after a vacation in the Bahamas. Moss then went on to become the anti-supermodel of the 1990s in contrast to the supermodels at the time, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell. This began with her first major cover and photoshoot in British magazine, The Face.

She ushered in the waif look in 1997 (which prompted much speculation over her weight) with a highly publicised campaign for Calvin Klein, including posing nude in ads for its perfume brand, Obsession. Some have even blamed her for popularizing the dangerous “heroin chic” look. Storm Model Agency lists Moss as being 173 cm (5′ 8″) but it is widely known that she is shorter than that, around 5′ 7″. Twiggy, a famous model during the 1960s who is 5′ 6″, wrote in her autobiography that she and Moss are about the same height.

Despite this apparent disadvantage, Moss charmed the fashion industry and has walked/campaigned for such elite houses as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Chanel, Missoni, and David Yurman. Now in her 30s, Moss is still working and has become a “supermodel” in her own right.

Biography: Josie Maran was born in Menlo Park, California to a father of Russian and Polish descent and a mother of Dutch, French and German ancestry. She began modeling part-time after an agent spotted her at a local barbecue restaurant at the age of 12. Maran continued a more dedicated career after graduating from high school. Considered to be too short for runway modeling at 5 feet 7 inches, her career consists mostly of editorial modeling and advertising/image modeling. Signed at age 17 with the Elite agency of Los Angeles, Maran appeared on her first cover with Glamour in 1998, and was the featured Guess? Girl in their Summer 1998 and Fall 1998 campaigns. Biography: Helena Christensen is a supermodel born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her father is Danish and mother is Peruvian.

She stepped into the limelight in 1986 by claiming the title of Miss Denmark when eighteen, allowing her to represent her country at the Miss Universe pageant. This provided an invaluable springboard to launch herself as an international model. She left her home to pursue modeling in Paris at the age of eighteen.

In 1991, she starred in the music video for Chris Isaak’s song “Wicked Game”. In the video, she is depicted as Isaak’s lover. Christensen is topless for much of the video, though her nudity is relatively concealed with clever camera angles. It was decided that full frontal nudity would not be suitable for mainstream release. Viewers still reacted to Christensen’s sexually suggestive performance, and the video was later featured on MTV’s ‘Sexiest Video of All-Time’.

Helena co-founded Nylon magazine and served as the creative director. She is no longer involved with the magazine.

On June 2006, Helena Christensen admitted to taking drugs. She says she smoked cannabis. Christensen said, “I wouldn’t say no if somebody passed me a joint.” The catwalk queen claims that models are attracted to the apparent glamour of Class A narcotics, but she didn’t use them. She told Britain’s Grazia magazine, ““It was never a problem for me. I was brought up with a lot of discipline so I wasn’t attracted to it. Bundchen was born in Três de Maio, near Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She is the daughter of Valdir and Vânia Bundchen, both of German descent, along with five sisters: Raquel, Graziela, Patrícia, Gabriela and Rafaela. Patricia and Gisele are fraternal twins.

An often told story about the “discovery” of Bundchen is when, as a schoolgirl, she went to a McDonalds and was eating a Big Mac when an agent discovered the bronze-haired beauty. In an interview, Bundchen remarked that she at first did not know what a model was, thinking it was something perhaps akin to being a hooker.

In 1993, Bundchen, 13 years old, joined the Dilson Stein’s mannequin course to correct her posture, with her sisters Patrícia and Gabriela, because her mother insisted. The course was for teenagers who wanted to be models.

In May 1994, Stein took 50 girls to São Paulo to give them a chance to walk in a big city and to let them be evaluated by Brazilian Elite agents. On August 20, 1993 Bundchen was playing volleyball for Sogipa, in Porto Alegre. Elite “kidnapped” her and took her to a contest. She came between the five finalists. Then, she went to São Paulo. She came in second in the national Elite Look of the Year contest. In the world contest, in Ibiza, Bundchen came in fourth.

As a teen, Bundchen moved to New York City to begin her runway debut at Fashion Week. She was so nervous she decided to get a blue star tattoo on her wrist. The star tattoo is very noticeable on the model, but there seems to be no attempt to cover it up with make-up in photo shoots or runway shows. After her debut in NYC, she was immediately embraced by the fashion world.

Bundchen has done ads and runway shows for various fashion houses including Valentino, Zara, Bvlgari, Tommy Hilfiger, Chloé, Celine, Versace, Christian Dior, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Victoria’s Secret, Dolce & Gabbana, and Louis Vuitton. She has also appeared on the covers of Allure, Marie Claire, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Arena, and Rolling Stone. Her curvaceous figure prompted Vogue to refer to her body of work as the “return of the sexy model”, since she seems to have marked the end of a trend of “waif” models such as Kate Moss.

Since being discovered the supermodel has been a force to be reckoned with. She has multi-million contracts with Victoria’s Secret, Ebel, and St. John. In 2006 alone she had 20 contracts and earned $30 million dollars.

Bundchen is rumored to be the face of an advertising campaign for Apple Computer, however, this has yet to be run.
